I'm in a dilemma now. I've taken up projects in-lieu of the cancellation of my upcoming ICT, and now they tell me they made a mistake. So I'm supposed to cancel all my projects, forgo all my income for the month of Sep/Oct, risk my reputation and make my clients unhappy just to cater for the army?
A lot of questions are left unanswered in my mind. How come they took so long (1week+) just to verify that they made a mistake? I doubt they will notice it if I didn't call them twice last week to ask for verification of my status. And how come in the 1st place there is miscommunication?
I'm trying to get a deferment for my ICT this Oct but I seriously doubt it will be approved. Is there any way in which I can do to improve my chances of getting deferred?
Sighz, why am I clearing up the mistakes which the army made....
in ur defer application, appeal for this defer since its not ur fault, its the admin lapse. in there, make a good complaint.

Hmm how do I go about arranging a meet up with my MP?
The medic refresher is 2days, which I personally think it is very rushed cuz instead of sending me the SAF100 6months in advance, they just throw me the SAF100 and ask me to report within 2-3weeks?

when they called in the morning I already asked for deferment. They told me to go via the normal route (thru ns.sg) which I have sent in at noon time. I've also called my BMO but he said he has no power to help me in my deferment and referred me to the manpower branch (which sadly till now there is none who is picking up the call)

for the mp just go to your nearby rc, they normally have meet the pple sessions one.but I think try to talk to the CO or S1 first bah, not point going all the way up if it can be settled. Hope you get it sorted out

I'll try to give my unit's manpower branch a call tomorrow.
I wonder am I skipping the supposed chain of command. I just send the deferment letter to mindef this afternoon. But I heard it is normally rejected and the reply will take like 2weeks to come back.....
