Your salary paid with public money is what? How many millions a year? How long have you been taking the public money for your salary?

Now that the GIC and Temasek you had a hand in creating, that is packed with your relatives and cronies, have lost so much, shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself and stop taking public money, especially having taken so much over the years?

Don't you have any shame and honour?

Do you enjoy the curses of the people? Does that make you feel good? You called Dr Chee Soon Juan a psychopath and what does that make a person like you that enjoys the curses of millions on you and your grandchildren? Are you simply tolerating the curses for the sake of putting more public money into your own pocket as salary?

      Business // Thursday, October 9, 2008

Some 40 per cent of Temasek’s $185 billion was invested in the financial services sector as of March 31.

      Let's see 40% of $185 billion is $74 billion.

Barclays was around 700 and now around 285... a loss of 59.2857%

So a 59.2857% loss of $74 billion is $43.87 billion and that is just in financial services.

Let's say the rest, $185-$74, $111 billion is suffering a loss of 30%, that is $33.3 billion

All in all, the losses are $33.3 plus $43.87 = $77.17 billion dollars.

So Mr Lee Kuan Yew, when are you going to stop taking public money altogether, (if you are too dishonorable to pay it back in disgrace and repentance)?

    • I also find Dr Chee kind of insane anyway.

But what does it help by you posting up all these here?

What is "what does it help by you posting..."?

Do you mean, "How does it help, for you to post..."?

Unfortunately I am not as great a man as Dr Chee Soon Juan, willing to be a martyr, and so all I can do is to write and post.

And ? Their public money is still being misappropriated.
Don't see how that changes anything.

    • I think they will offset some losses by selling power plants and airports. biggrin.png

So garmen built airport and power plant using tax payer's money then transfer to Temasek and sell them? The profits who keep huh? icon_lol.gif

...get a small fry like me? They will disgrace themselves so much they have no face to look in the mirror.... they are dishonorable and shameless but not stupid (only when it comes to investing and spending money from the people) to that extent.

The profits, a big portion of it will go to the "salaries" (actually even when there are big losses)... so no one can legally accuse them of dipping their greedy hands into public money.

I think the answer to the above question is very clear. The person in question is absolutely NOT going to 'stop taking public money'.

    • So, do something about it. Unfortunately most people here don't have the balls so all they do is sit in the comfort of their own homes and whine. I really wonder how many people here talk so much yet still vote of the PAP. and don't tell me PAP always gives good incentives during elections. If you were really serious about what you posted above then you would vote for the opposition incentives or not. And please think carefully before you start swearing that you've been voting for the opposition because if the majority of you really have, then PAP would'nt hold so many seats in parliment. Whenever it comes to election results most opposition champions i.e TS and our dear mr poh ah pak like to only mention the GRC's that the PAP won by a small majority. However, they never mention GRC's like Pasir Ris where Rear-admiral teo chee hien won about 80+% of the votes. Honestly i don't know much where elections are concerned but i do know that with these kind of percentages, PAP does have their merits. Are you trying to tell me 80% of pasir ris residents are deluded? Or is it the only enlightened people are the ones sitting infront of their computers writing on sgforums? Think about it, I'm not saying PAP a perfect govenment, every government has its flaws, but given the circumstances i think they've done the best they could. Lets put it this way, you people complain so much about taxes and the like, but where does the government get the money to pay for military? Education? Infrastructure? And since you people are complaining about ministers salaries so much let me give you a very good example. Now as we all know, Singapore has a small regular army, but who would want to join this army if the pay was'nt attractive? You're asking people to fight and die for you for nothing? Its the same with PAP, I'm not saying they deserve their high salaries but they definetely desevere something for having to make decisions and having the rest of the population whine about it. Its a governments job to think differently from the people. Think about it

Thai protest leaders say they will surrender

By AMBIKA AHUJA – 32 minutes ago

BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) — The leaders of Thailand's anti-government protesters said Thursday they will surrender to police after a court dropped treason charges against them, but vowed to continue their sit-in at the prime minister's office after posting bail.

Why can't Singapore have judges like that? Judges that do not automatically lick asses?

    • i do not appreciate your corny remarks.

If you are some kids hiding behind the screen, thinking you are too small too young too hidden or too insignificant to be charged or sued defamation. I think you better wise up.

You are the typical kinda of people , I would do everything within my abilities to bring u down and put u on the news to defer people like you who think they are safe behind the screens to spout whatever you want.

Luckily I am not and I am no lover of the current state of affairs. But I do watch what I post.
